STALA
STALA developed the brand identity for Tone, a voice solution built to rethink how companies and customers connect over the phone. Legacy call centers run on rigid scripts. AI agents fall into mechanical exchanges. Tone works between the two, adding a smarter and more human layer to telephony so that each interaction feels intuitive and real.
The brief was to translate a complex technology into a clear story, one that held the sophistication of the product without losing its humanity. STALA began with the tension that defines the category: efficiency against empathy. For decades companies have had to choose between scale and the quality of the experience, and customers have carried the cost of that choice. Tone refuses the tradeoff.
Research and conversations with customer experience leaders pointed to a shift in expectation. People no longer accept being routed through endless menus or talking to systems that miss nuance. They want to be acknowledged, not automated. Companies, in turn, want tools that lower cost while building trust and loyalty across every interaction. The identity had to speak to both readings at once.
The system was built to hold that ambition. Typography is modern and direct, balancing clarity with warmth. Color stays restrained and confident, drawn from the trust signals of enterprise and softened by human undertones. Graphic elements take their cue from conversation itself, dynamic and adaptive. Each decision reinforces the promise underneath the product: intelligence that feels human.
Tone emerges as a quiet alternative to AI-first call solutions, a way for businesses to move past the limits of automation toward technology that amplifies human connection rather than replacing it.
