Calendly

Calendly

Smith & Diction

Smith & Diction developed the rebrand for Calendly, and the brief went past a light refresh. Calendly wanted to signal a shift in what the company does, not just how it looks. The identity had to carry a change in the product itself, not sit on top of an unchanged one.

The idea comes straight from what Calendly already does well. The product simply works, no learning curve, copy and paste, and years of watching that help people set the question at the centre of the work. What if that just works simplicity reached beyond the calendar.

The rebrand builds around that expansion. Helping a tennis coach take payments without switching platforms, helping a journalist take meeting notes so the conversation gets full attention, changing how a financial advisor tracks contacts and relationships. The identity had to hold a widening set of jobs under one promise, so a brand known for scheduling could stand for making the rest just work too.
